Dr. Sharon Brown-Hruska, Financial Economist and Former Regulator

Sharon Brown-Hruska is the former Acting Chairman and Commissioner of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) under President George W. Bush. She served on the President’s Working Group on Financial Markets, the President’s Corporate Fraud Task Force, and the Financial Literacy and Education Commission, where she championed financial education and online initiative mymoney.gov.

As Chief Economist of the US State Department, she advanced evidence-based policy analysis of matters of national and international economic significance.
